21 Days to Unlock Your Inner Beauty, Day 11: Want to Share Your Deepest Secrets Without Fear?

Spread the love

Are there things you’re worried about or avoid and wish you could talk about with your man?

Do you wish your man would show you the deepest parts of himself and be more “emotionally available”?

If that sounds familiar, then you are dealing with what most of us women experience –fear of going deep and showing our true emotions because we’re afraid of what our partner might see. We really want to go deep, connect, and love each other, but the very act of being vulnerable in that way can be scary!

On the flip side, have you ever noticed that when someone really reveals themselves and what’s in their heart, that you fall in love with that person? You feel like you know them? Well, that’s what’s available if you can get past the fear of opening up and share yourself, and I mean REALLY share yourself.

And as a bonus, the person you’re sharing with usually gains the courage to share themselves too, so you get to know them on a deeper level too.

Here are three things you can do to open up a deeper conversation and clear fear out of the way.

Realize that there is nothing wrong with you and that the world needs your vulnerability. One of my favorite exercises to generate self-love and strength in our vulnerability is from Louise Hays: Look in the mirror and tell yourself, “I love you and accept you exactly the way you are.” Keep telling yourself until the person looking back at you in the mirror really receives the communication.

Tell your man you’d like to share something that you’re afraid of and that you need him to just listen.

Share your fears or something your feel vulnerable about, and set your intention to completely communicate all your fears without expectation that he is going to “do anything about it.” Your intention in this communication is to simply verbalize the stuff that’s rattling around in your head so that you can let it go and get back to a sense of LOVE for yourself and your life.
