21 Days to Unlock Your Inner Beauty, Day 13: You are Powerful :)

Spread the love

Ever say to yourself, “I eat healthy and exercise but why am I not losing weight”? I know that I’ve asked this to myself many times over the years.

However, how about upgrading the questions you ask yourself. This week my good friend told me the difference between afFIRmations and afFORmations.

Affirmations are I AM statements like “I AM healthy”, “I AM sexy”, or “I AM fit”!

Affirmations are in question form like “Why do I lose weight so effortlessly?”, “Why is it so easy for me to wake up and do cardio?”, or “Why do I enjoy eating organic food so much?”.

I was never into affirmations because as soon as I said them then my mind automatically searched for reason to disprove what I was saying. Words are so powerful…

This week I have been paying close attention to the questions that I ask myself in my head then upgrading them with questions that I can actually do empowering brainstorming with.

The questions that I’ve been asking myself lately is “why am I not motivated to do cardio?”, “why am I not finishing my new online training program?”, and “why don’t I feel like cooking”.

Yikes, asking myself these questions is not productive or empowering. So I changed them up to “what motivates me to do cardio?”, “what items are left for me to get over to my online programer so I can do a webinar and share this awesome program?”, and “what am I going to buy when I go to the grocery store tomorrow”?

This little exercise helped me refocus my power and where I am putting my attention 🙂

I started drafting up an email with the final changes for my product and I just put together my new personalized meal plan so tomorrow when I get home from grocery shopping I can prepare all my meals and snacks for the rest of the week. Woohoo, feeling empowered and productive!

I challenge you to pay attention to the questions that you are asking yourself daily and re-frame them into questions that empower you.
