How to Make Mayonnaise

When you begin the journey to cleanup your diet from processed junk food, you will inevitably come to learn that conventional oils in the form of soybean, canola, vegetable oils and trans-fats are some of your biggest enemies. They cause inflammation and digestive distress, which are at the root of most health problems.

The good news is that making your own salad dressings and homemade mayonnaise is really quite easy and they taste DELICIOUS! An added benefit is that the oils we use in them are not to be eliminated as was proclaimed by the low fat craze, but rather enjoyed liberally! What a relief!

Lots of people have mayo disasters the first time around because they miss a couple key steps. Watch this video below to make sure thats never you!

Ingredients:

  • 1 small clove garlic
  • 2 organic egg yolks (at room temperature, VERY IMPORTANT)
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • big pinch salt
  • 1 cup MCT oil or avocado oil

Directions:

Put first 5 ingredients in a small food processor and blend. Slowly drizzle in oil until all well combined.
Season to taste with more salt. Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
